"They used to walk the dump every morning looking for anything they could sell. Today they walk to work."
The same hands that once dug through garbage now make something beautiful.
Not long ago, the women who sew our swaddles had no other option. Each morning they would head to the local dump — sorting through waste, searching for anything that could feed their families that day. It was dangerous, degrading, and without end.
Through a vocational training program run by people we know personally — friends we've worked alongside for years — these mothers learned to sew. They developed a skill. They built something they own.
Today they come to work. They earn a steady income. They teach their daughters that their hands are for making, not for scavenging.
When you wrap your baby in one of our swaddles, that is the story you're holding.
